He has driven 3M Miles in 1966 Volvo

Irv Gordon, a 74-year-old man from New York has been successfully registered himself as the owner of a red 1966 Volvo P1800 has been driven to the farthest distance, which is 3 million miles or 4,828,032 km. He grabbed this farthest distance record when visiting Alaska, in September 2013.

To reach that distance, Irv always drove as far as 102 998 km per year. Remarkably, during driving the two-door coupe Volvo, he never had an accident. The first time he reached a distance of 1 million miles or 1,609,344 km in 1987 while visiting Central Park, New York, United States. But it was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the car with the farthest distance in 1996.

And then Time Square area be witness when he and his car reaches a distance of 2 million miles or 3,218,688 km in 2002. As quoted from Metro, when he reaches a distance of 3 million miles or 4,828,032 km directly recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Irv is a retired science teacher who bought the 1966 Volvo P1800. Since then, he always keeps and cares his car performance by replacing the brake in every distance of 160,000 km. He has never ignore the sounds, smells, and strange vibe from his car.
He changed the engine oil regularly every 4828 miles, clean the carburetor filter every 1.4 million miles, and replace the fuel pump every 1.6 million miles.
