Top-7 Coolest Electric supercars

In the future electric cars would be predicted to be the most lucrative sector to drive with eco-friendly reasons. Therefore many global automotive manufacturers to develop electric cars with the aim of offering advantages when behind the wheel of an electric car.

But not many electric cars built by the manufacturers on cost grounds especially in the electric sports car. Only a small car manufacturer to develop electric sports car. Well, from the number of electric-powered concept car turned out to be some concept cars that offer advantages such as the beauty factor design, speed and so on. Here they are 7 coolest electric supercars that ever made,

7. Eliica
The Eliica (which stands for Electric Lithium-Ion Car) is the brainchild of Prof. Hiroshi Shimizu and his team from Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University SFC. Eliica is an electric car concept with 8 wheels that accommodate the needs of urban communities. Because the body is a bit chubby. However, the ability of the electric motor that is good enough to accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 4 seconds.

There are currently (as of 2005) two versions of the Eliica: a Speed model and an Acceleration model. The Speed model is made to challenge gasoline-based records and has a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph) with a range of 200 km (120 mi). The Acceleration model is made for the street and has a top speed of 190 kph (120 mph) with a range of 320 km (200 miles). Two vehicles exist at the moment, each costing a total of $320,000. The team has recently announced that they intend to build 200 units and are currently looking for corporate sponsorship.

6. AC Propulsion TZero
The AC Propulsion TZero is a handmade electric sports car that was produced in limited numbers by the U.S. company AC Propulsion. The tzero is based on the Piontek Sportech kit car, which consists of a fiberglass body built over a reinforced steel space frame with double wishbone independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. AC Propulsion added the AC-150 drivetrain, a single-speed electric system with an overall gear ratio of 9:1.

Launched in January 1997, only three prototypes were built and plans for commercial production were dropped in mid-2003. The name comes from t0, the mathematical symbol for a starting point in time. The engine can catapult 200 hp of power with 240 Nm of torque. The car weighs 1,000 kg so the 0-100 kph only takes 4.07 seconds with a maximum speed 250 kph (155.34 mph).

5. Li-ion Inizio
Inizio is a Li-ion Motors electric car that combines expertise in terms aerodynamis, manufacture and the chassis design with the development of electric car conversions and improve the regulatory system battery as a power source. The result is a most stylish electric car because it combines style, sport, unique into one car. Just look at the parts of the car is much inspired from various sports car, such as the Dodge Viper inspired its interior and the exterior from the Ferrari's.

Car is only produced as many as 2,500 units per year at a price of U.S. $ 139,000 or approximately Rp. 1.2 billion. Li-ion Inizio supercar claimed to be the first in the world that uses electricity as its power, despite that car brand itself has not been as popular as other electric cars. By relying on electricity as its power, Inizio has the ability to accelerate from standstill to 97 kph (60 mph) in just a matter of time of no more than 3.4 seconds and could run up to a top speed of 274 kph (170 mph).

4. Peugeot EX1
Peugeot EX1 is a 100 percent electric-powered cars. The energy stored in lithium-ion batteries are routed to two electric motors mounted on each axle. Each engine can generate power 170 hp plus torque of 240 Nm per wheel. So if the combined power of this car can reach 250 kW, equivalent to 340 hp with maximum torque of 480 Nm (354 lb-ft).

Peugeot EX1 itself was built as a race car that only has a length of 1.77 meters and 0.90 meters high. The shape is very aerodynamic and to add to the sense of driving enjoyment, Peugeot EX1 will adopt 4WD on its feet. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in speed of 3.49 seconds, to be able to withstand a large force, the EX1 using a suspension that can be fairly unique is a double A-arm in the front, which is shaped like a swing-arm motorcycles, and floating axle at the rear.

3. Jaguar C-X75
Cars made in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Jaguar in 2010 and this not only looks beautiful to look at but also environmentally friendly because the car is electric powered with a battery that is located at the bottom of the car. By using 4 pieces of electric machines are placed in each wheel is capable producing power of 195 hp on each wheel so that the electric car could be driven up to a maximum speed of 329 kph (204.43 mph) and only takes 3.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kph (62 mph).

Existing battery can be used to run as far as 110 km for single recharge. There is another one called the Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (RE-EV) where the combination of electric machines and micro gas-turbines to make electric car is able to run as far as 900 km (559 miles). This car is a hybrid car terfenomenal with carbon dioxide emissions of 99 g / km, but the Jaguars on December 17, 2012 announced canceling of the C-X75 production due to global economic conditions are not conducive.

2. Shelby Supercar Ultimate Aero EV
This car was once dubbed the world's fastest electric car with a power output of two twin electric motors to reach 1,000 PS. And the resulting torque electric motor as the Ultimate Aero, according to Shelby, reaching 110.6 kgfm, so it is not surprising that the SSC Ultimate Aero EV can accelerate from 0-100 kph in just 2.5 seconds only. The car can reach a maximum speed of 334 kph (207.54 mph).

Classified as advanced batteries, the charging time of approximately 10 minutes can take you as far as 241.4 km (150 miles). The company said the electric car project with All-Electric Scalable Powertrain (AESP). But certainly, as a beacon of SSC, the electric car will be fitted to the body of the SSC Ultimate Aero. The latter car bearing the official record as the fastest car in the world and marketed to a limited circle.

1. NLV Quant
The Quant concept car is a concept that was developed jointly by NLV Solar and Koenigsegg, as well as specially designed combining the speed, the comfort, and friendly to the environment. Quant driven by electric motors that power source is taken from two different battery systems, which use a conventional accumulator technology with a transition metal and water mixture while the other uses a redox flow cell.

Behind its beautiful body, the car that uses electric motors comes from the battery is capable of producing power of 805 horsepower or 600 kW / 816 PS and produces torque 1,500 Nm (1,107 lb-ft). With the full carbon chassis that made lightweight car weighing about 1,680 kg (3,703.76 lbs). The Quant could accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 377 kph (234 mph). While the outside view, where the Quant slick design with its Gullwing doors, and the body wrapped in thin film solar coating of the NLV photovoltaic which act as the battery power sources and so forth. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOMOTTO]
