An unique concept car from Audi

At the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 which Audi show their newest concept car, Nanuk Quattro. This crossover combines high-performance sports car with an Audi Quattro expertise in road, racing track and off-road. Nanuk Quattro intangible two-door coupe has positioned a seven-speed S tronic behind the engine.

This concept is being hailed as a concept crossover combination of the Audi quattro with the performance dynamics of a sports car, and was designed with collaboration from Italdesign Giugiaro, the same designer that brought you the wildly styled 2014 Parcour. Overall, the crossover concept weighs in at 1,900 kilograms (4,188.78 lbs).

On this concept car, Audi installing a 5.0 liter V10 TDI engine that capable of spraying power over 544 hp and torque up to 1,000 Nm (737.56 lb-ft). All of this culminates in a 0 to 100 km/hr (62 mph) speed of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/hour (190 mph).

Among its features, the Audi nanuk quattro allows the driver to control the vehicle’s ground clearance to three different levels, taking it to the normal level, to 3 cm (1.18-inches) under that level, or 4 cm (1.57-inches) above that height. This is achieved via adaptive air suspension, something that also works to keep the car level using both predictive route navigational information and the driving speed.

Likewise, to increase the agility of the car, the nanuk quattro turns the rear wheels slightly (up to 9 degrees) during low speed and moderate speed turns to decrease the turning radius. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn up to 2.5 degrees to extend the wheelbase for increased stability.

The exterior was made to look aggressive with bright red exterior color, large hexagonal radiator grille and headlights with the latest LED Matrix tech from Audi. The fender contours with sharp shaped of the typical classic Audi design dominates when it viewed from the side. The scissor door type installed and gave further reinforce its aggressive and futuristic identity.
Meanwhile, in the interior of all control elements, including an electronic air suspension control, touchwheel for navigation and multimedia functions and the turn signal, centered on the center console and steering wheel. The driver could access some information and will display digital instrument panel that can be freely programmed.
