5 Debutant Concept Cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013

Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA), also known as the Frankfurt Motor Show or Frankfurt Auto Show, is one of the largest auto shows in the world. This exhibition has been scheduled by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles. This year the event held on September 12 - 22, 2013.

At the exhibition was attended by a lot of world's automotive business people as well as automotive enthusiasts and consumers, because this exhibition is one of the largest in Europe and even in the World. It is no wonder this exhibition used as a means to introduce the latest concept cars from many the world's automotive manufacturers.

Here are some of the concept cars which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013,

5. SUZUKI iV-4
A pioneer in the compact SUV segment, Suzuki has previewed its latest attempt at the globally lucrative segment with new iV-4 concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Unlike most new compact SUVs that have been showcased and introduced in markets the Suzuki iV-4 concept is designed to be a true off-roader while also fitting into the urban environment with perfect ease.

The four-wheel drive production model of the iV-4 concept will be armed with the All Grip 4x4 system to equip the upcoming compact SUV with proper off-road credentials using clever electronics as well as mechanical components.

At the same, Suzuki aims to keep the weight of the iV-4 concept to the minimum like in all of its compact SUVs for greater efficiency, reduced emissions and nimble drive dynamics. Suzuki plans to start production of the iV-4 in 2015 at the company’s Magyar plant in Hungary and will be initially launching the compact SUV in European markets initially.

4. KIA NIRO
KIA pulled the wraps off its funky, scissor-doored Niro SUV concept. It is, according to KIA, the antithesis of the typical 4×4 or SUV. There is no question the look breaks the mold — it is part SUV, part compact car and all different. By using the large P225/40R20 tires on the feet, the Niro is no ordinary SUV even the mud-bogger, as it’s powered by a hybrid drivetrain.

The front wheels are driven by a 1.6-litre 160-horsepower, four-cylinder T-GDi engine that’s teamed with a seven-speed twin-clutch transmission. At the back, there’s an electric motor that chips in with another 45 hp. It gets its power from a lithium-ion battery that is charged through regenerative braking system.

Inside, the minimalist theme accommodates two riders up front and features an “occasional use” rear seat. In a nod to a current trend, the Niro features front, rear and door mirror-mounted cameras, which can then be used to absolve the driver responsibility for a crash.

3. TOYOTA YARIS HYBRID-R
In the prestigious Frankfurt Motor Show 2013 automotive arena, Toyota officially introduced the Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R Concept which is a sub-compact three-door models with turbocharged four-cylinder engine that has a capacity of 1.6 liters. This engine is capable of producing 300 horsepower with a maximum torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft).

The car also equipped with three electric motors, each producing up to 60 horsepower are placed on the back, one on the wheel, and the other on girbox. From the three electric motors, this hybrid car is capable of producing not less than 120 horsepower.

Thus the conventional engine plus the help of three electric motors, so the Yaris Hybrid R is possess combined power up to 429 horsepower. Besides using the fierce engine, the exterior design of this car also looks attractive with a sporty design.

2. INFINITI Q30
Infiniti Q30 concept being introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. The Q30 Concept car, a sedan model that combines contemporary character and luxury. Infiniti says the car is not a coupe, hatchback, or crossover, but combines all of three elements.

"The launch of Q30 Concept reflects a significant step for Infiniti," said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd. Design concept that reflects that at the end of the decade nearly 80 percent buyer premium segment vehicles are Gen X and Gen Y, so as to create a new, more contemporary expectations of the meaning of 'premium'.

Production of the Infiniti Q30 concept will be done in 2015, using Nissan's plant in Sunderland, UK as a center for the production of this car. As the future of luxury cars, Nissan Infiniti Q30 target concept as successor-tech luxury cars. Individual consumer is the main target of the Infiniti Q30.

1. OPEL MONZA
Opel Monza Concept became one of the brightest shining star at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2013. According to Opel, the car design is inspired by the ocean waves. Her face looks exotic with gullwing doors that wide and integrated to the rear. With 4 ergonomically seats in the cabin are designed for the driver plus three passengers.

In the interior is made with a futuristic touch with a dashboard that uses a single projection with 18 LED projector, thus creating a multifunctional 3D view inside the cabin.

This car has a length of 4.69 meters and 1.31 meters high, 15 cm cabin floor is lower than the current production car. Mentioned very abundant luggage volume over to 500 liters.
