TTRM Archaeological team leader, Ali Akbar justify it. Admitted to inform the results of research and development are done with the national team during the week. The excavation and stripping process is not having problems. The eastern and northern slopes of Gunung Padang are the next excavation site and also became the new investigation area. "Everything went smoothly and safely. Due to the delivery of new things will be informed at the same time," he said.

Ali revealed that in both the slopes, there are man-made structure that was built around the year 500 BC. Additionally, TTRM will continue to explore the older age structure, which is approximately 5900 BC. The structure has been discovered by TTRM during excavations on the eastern slopes in February, 2013. "The structure of the two slopes in the form of the stairs or terraces composition which became the body of the Gunung Padang site.

The latest information from the research of Gunung Padang site, where TTRM suspect there are settlements before the Gunung Padang megalithic site built. It was referring to the survey findings about the region named Cikuta within 2 kilometers from the site. "There are two compelling reasons to make Cikuta as a residential community at the time," Ali Akbar said.

First, the land contour at the Cikuta site is flat and close to the Cikuta River. The second reason, the mention of the word "kuta" behind "ci" are are assessed and represent the meaning of the city (kota) in general. To prove it when the people live in there still requires further research and verification, he said.

Ali believes that the neighborhoods existed when the Gunung Padang site was made. The conviction was based on the first survey by doing excavation some time ago. According to him, the Gunung Padang site is used as a sort of shrine or religious ceremonies place by the people who live nearby.

TTRM itself continued the research, they want to prove some of the mysteries that have not been revealed. Ali explained the restoration will be carried out, after TTRM was reported the study results directly to the President of Republic of Indonesia. After all, a number of discoveries in the laboratory are still in need of proof. "Charcoal (carbon dating) that we found also to be brought to America to know their ages," he said.

Estimates of the Gunung Padang site that rival the grandeur of the Egyptian pyramids was revealed by Professor of Archaeology at the University of Indonesia, Mundarjito on the discussion held at Salihara Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

Mundarjito expressed the view that the Gunung Padang is a magnificent building and an Indonesian great heritage from the megalithic era. However, in these studies still allow disclaimers such as the stone dating still use the C-14 is often still a lot of impurities so that the results are not very accurate results.

Then related to the ancient cement that intended as an adhesive ancient mountain rock cracks indicated not man made but physical weathering followed by chemical weathering through oxidation. "With the variety of the objection then the team should work more closely with tool support, better yet," said Mundarjito.

But in spite of it all proved that the Indonesian civilization with magnificent buildings such as the Egyptian pyramids, there has been present since 700 BC. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | OKE BANDUNG | METRO TV | DEDEN ABDUL AZIZ | KORAN TEMPO 4318]
