Motorcycle is a means of mass transportation with many outstanding brands and series until today. Various ways and designs devoted by the owner to make the bike fit with his character. It's different from a motorcycle used for the purposes of the scenes in Hollywood movies. Motorcycle modification process should match to the film's theme and sometimes the motorcycle experiencing completely changes from its original face.
Adjustments to the role of the characters and the story given by the director are things that need to be taken into account on a motorcycle that participated in a scene in the famous Hollywood films. Here are 5 cool motorcycle that took part in several Hollywood films:
5. Montesa Cota 4RT Modification (James Bond - Quantum of Solace)
Montesa Cota 4RT is a product of a subsidiary of Honda motorcycle manufacturer located in Spain. The company was founded in 1944 by Pedro Permayer and Francisco Xavier "Paco" Bulto to make gas powered motorcycles.
After the success of their first 95cc model, they designed an improved 125cc roadster, which became success on the rally and race circuits of the early 1950s, including the first three places on the 1956 ultra-lightweight Isle of Man TT.

During the world trail championships, Montesa actively follow the competion throughout the 1980s until the 1990s. The Cota 4RT is a 250cc single, making a strong case that Honda 250s are the bike of choice for the new James Bond motorcycles used in the "Quantum of Solace" movie is the motorcycle that won the championship in 1997, and ridden Dougie Lampkin.
4.1985 Kawasaki GPZ 900 R (Top Gun)
Kawasaki GPZ 900 R (ZX900A or Ninja 900) is manufactured by Kawasaki motorcycles in the period from 1984 to 2003. Ninja 900 is the forerunner of the first Kawasaki Ninja family motor sport.
Its engine which is spent six years of research with the result is the world's first motorcycle engine that use specification of 16 valve liquid cooled inline four-cylinder, which can reach speeds of 151 mph (243 kph).
This bike could travel a quarter mile in just 10.976 seconds or its best time is 10.55 seconds while driving by a famous rider Jay "Pee Wee" Gleason. After appearing in "Top Gun" movie, Kawasaki GPZ 900 R motorcycle had become a quite famous cultural icon.
3. 2001 Ducati 996 (Matrix Reloaded)
The
Ducati 996 appeared in 1998 acting as a replacement and upgrade for the
legendary Ducati 916, which was still a potent bike itself. Ducati 996
is a variant produced between 1999 and 2002 in Italy.
Since it was ridden by Triniti on the legendary "Matrix Reloaded" movie. Specifications used motorcycle engines are much more powerful than the other Ducati series at the time. The
996 had a larger capacity 996 cc engine, with larger pistons, valves, a
stronger crankshaft and crankcases. The standard 996 retained the 916's
camshafts, however the top spec 996SPS version had its own and
therefore made around 10-12 extra bhp.
The
996 chassis is almost identical to the 916. The wheels are updated and
front and rear brakes are upgraded with more powerful calipers. In 2000
the Ducati 996 was equipped with Marchesini wheels and titanium nitride
coated front forks.
2. BatPod (Batman - The Dark Knight)
Batcycle is known as the BatPod that played a role in the (2008) "Batman - The Dark Knight" movie. The bike is designed from the Batman's car has a primary function as an additional vehicle to escape (escape pod).
BatPod was the creation of director Christopher Nolan and production designer Nathan Crowley. The BatPod uses 20 inch wheels from the Tumbler (Batmans avant-garde cubism car) and is powered by the water-cooled single from a Honda CRF450R trail bike.
The BatPod is produced as many as six units and made specifically for film production with anticipation of a few scenes that resulted in faulty motorcycle. One of abilities that are not found on the commonly motorcycle is the ability to maneuver against the normal rotation rate of the tire, so if there is a sharp bend, it can quickly change direction.
1. Moto-Terminator (Terminator Salvation)
Ducati Hypermotard 1100 which had inspired the Moto-Terminator on "Terminator Salvation" film. The concept art by Titan Books shows a killer bot on a motorcycle, the Ducati Hypermotard 1100. The mechanical duo is loaded with dangerous weapons and it looks like the robot can fuse itself with the bike to become a killing machine. With scary red lights for eyes, the robot looks more like a robo-ghost.
Production
director Martin Laing was responsible for envisioning some of the
near-future killing devices, and has created (among a lot of other scary
looking metal) this Moto-Terminator motorcycle.
"This
movie is all about technology taken to such a high level that it
becomes an art form — to me, that fits as a description of Ducati," said
