An Elegant Super-mini Electric Car

French automaker, Citroen as the creator of the futuristic GT by Citroen concept car is no stranger to jaw-dropping concept cars. The automaker has continued their exploration of distinctive and original electric vehicles with the unveiling of the Survolt concept car.

A new generation of sporty and elegant super mini-car. Citroen Survolt is dedicated to display an elegance style, advanced technology and sporty passion of two-seater-coupe. Clearly, in the future, Citroen Survolt will be imagination and innovative cars that are environmentally friendly by maximizing all devices and transmission power, so as to provide driving pleasure and passion.

The Survolt is Citroen's interpretation of a new kind of stylish, sporty and elegant supermini car (the vehicle measuring just 3.85 m long, 1.87 m wide and 1.20 m high) and is equipped with several features as befits a sports car, including a tubular chassis, the bottom surface using the extractor and full carbon body. The car weight is around 1,150 kg or 2,535 pounds. The styling is inspired by high-performance sports coupés and features an eye-catching oval-shaped grille, slim, horizontal head lamps with an LED light signature that adds a contemporary, high-tech touch.

The Survolt is powered by two electric motors with a lithium-ion battery as a power source when its combined power can generate power of 300 hp. Citroen claims to combine sports performance with environmental respect and sustainable development. With such power, Survolt can do acceleration from 0 to 100 kph (62mph) in 5 seconds, while the top speed stands at 260 kph (162 mph). A pair of lithium-ion battery has a weight of 140 kg or 308 lbs, each battery has a capacity of 31 kw to cover the distance as far as 200 km (124 miles). If the batteries are low, we can be recharged for 10 hours at 220 Volt electrical network.
