Lamborghini is an Italian sports car manufacturing company has come up with many of its sports car models and concepts that has thrilled the whole world with its features and looks. Whenever we talk about the sports cars, Lamborghini comes to our mind.

The company released its first sports car model in mid 1960s. After the launch of its first sports car, Lamborghini has released many of its amazing sports car that shows that Lamborghini is one of leading brand in sports car manufacturing industry.

Lamborghini comes up regularly with some new designs and innovations in automobile industry with its unique team of designers ans engineers. Presently the Lamborghini is under the assets of Audi, a subsidiary of Volkswagen group. Here we have 1st listed of the coolest 12 Lamborghini sports car concepts that are waiting to scorch the road and will be available soon in the market.

12. Lamborghini Timador Concept
In cooperation with the Munich University of Applied Sciences, and Lamborghini sponsored the 'Raw Material' project tasking students from the German institution to create a series of design concepts for a future supercar.

The main objective of Lamborghini Timador design by Johannes Brandsch was to create a lighter supercar through the use of overlapping shells, the biggest one of which forms the shoulders of the car separating the air inlets from the passenger compartment.

This car is a lighter supercar concept that is a great advancement in design and technology of Lamborghini cars. The whole car shows a possible advancement of the actual Lamborghini design language with an assembled body surface created by diffrent overlapping shells.

11. Lamborghini Spiga

Lamborghini Spiga is a sports car concept designed by Turkish designer Ugur Sahin. The name of the car is derived from the roof shape of the car. The roof of car is spike shaped that is known as Spiga in Italian. This concept is based on Lamborghini Gallardo.

The main characteristic of the car is that the rear and the middle flows in an harmonic way which kind of reminds the human muscles stretching to the back, as the front is slightly different than the rear, it also gives a sense of speed and movement forward when viewed form the side angles.

The car is equipped with side intakes of air that is a unique characteristic of Lamborghini concept vehicles and also provide a unique look to the car. I think, perhaps Lamborghini should be evaluated this concept.

10. Lamborghini Ankonian Concept
The Lamborghini Ankonian is a concept supercar created by designer Slavche Tanevski, as part of a project at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. The Ankonian also gets its name from a bull, keeping the tradition of the creator of the auto brand, Feruccio Lamborghini.

This concept vehicle, as any Lamborghini, is quite low, has a long and narrow body and a complex exterior design. There are no technical specs available, but we can assume that it will probably fit in the Lamborghini supercars range.

While the Ankonian is not necessarily a beautiful car, it sure has a raw, aggressive look and it could be compared to a Stealth bomber or it could well be something the Dark Knight would ride in.

9. Lamborghini Insecta Concept
The Lamborghini Insecta concept was designed by Iulian Bumbu, a Rumanian automotive designer who in 2008 completed the Transportation Design Master Course with Alfa Romeo at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan.

The length of the Insecta concept car is 4300mm (169 inches), similar to that of the Lamborghini Gallardo, however the Insecta is lower and wider than the Gallardo, plus it features a slightly longer wheelbase. Inside the Lamborghini concept you’ll find a deep bucket seats, a high center console and an U-shaped sports steering wheel.

The Lamborghini concept supercar is powered by a 5 litre V10 engine and it uses the same drivetrain as the Gallardo. This supercar comes with a glass engine cover that blends into the glass roof of the vehicle and, as far as the bodywork is concerned, it’s all carbon fibre to reduce weight.

8. Lamborghini Indomable
Believe it or not, the Lamborghini Indomable concept pictured below might actually make it to production, despite sporting an incredible feat: 2,000 hp of raw power. This project was created by Daniel Chinchilla Ochoa and Alberto Fernandez Albilares, as part of a program sponsored by Lamboghini.

However, don’t expect Lambo to build this model, since a company called 215 Racing already set its eyes on the supercar and bought the rights to create it. A production version based on these images is expected and in the end the vehicle might not even be a Lambo at all, being called Mostro Di-Potenza SF22.

This newcomer will get a mid-mounted twin turbocharged 9.4 liter V8 engine, a 6 speed sequential gearbox and 2,000 pound feet of torque. 50 units of the SF22 will be created and the price will be a very reasonable U.S. $ 950,000 for such a monster.

7. Lamborghini Jota
After a number of special versions of the Murcielago, like the LP640, the LP 650-4 Roadster and the LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, it seems like the Italian designers are ready to bring in a replacement for the famous model: the Lamborghini Jota.

This new supercar has been seen in the cold lands of Scandinavia, where the Lamborghini engineers were testing the Jota. This car is apparently about the same size as the Murcielago and comes with a V12 engine with direct fuel injection, generating around 700 horsepower. It will also weigh less, thanks to the use of aluminium and carbon fiber for the body kit.

This model will also use all-wheel-drive, although this time Lamborghini could use a new system developed by Haldex. The design will probably be inspired from another Murcielago-based Lamborghini, the Reventon. Will the Jota be another upgraded version of the Murcielago, or the new supercar that will take its place? We’ll just have to wait and see!
