Crossover Concept with Futuristic Design and Advanced Technology

After producing Murano few years ago, Nissan seems to have prepared a replacement candidate for cars that have genre sport utility vehicle (SUV). Nissan showed a new design called Resonance in at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. Resonance is the latest work of the Nissan, a crossover with the future design and the latest advanced technology.

With its boldly futuristic aerodynamic styling and fuel-efficient hybrid-electric powertrain, the Nissan Resonance concept proposes an all-new dynamic and edgy design that once again leads the trend for the crossover category.
Nissan proves there still might be room in the modern automotive market for space-age design 50 years after its heyday.

Designed to preview the styling direction of the company's future crossovers, the Resonance has a bold exterior with a "V-Motion" front fascia and a tinted acrylic grille. There's also satin chrome accents, a 'floating' panoramic glass roof and 22-inch aluminum wheels. Overall, the concept measures 4.84m (190.6 inches) long, 2m (78.7 inches) wide and 1.73m (68.1 inches) tall with a wheelbase that spans 2.88m (113.2 inches).

The cabin is elegantly equipped with premium leather upholstery, natural wood trim and metallic accents. Other highlights include a cloud-based telematics system and a futuristic instrument panel that provides a "holographic experience."

Detailed performance specifications were not released, but Nissan says the Resonance is a crossover utility vehicle (CUV) powered by Nissan’s proprietary "one-motor, two-clutch" hybrid electric powertrain. The system which uses a 2.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor with a corresponding lithium-ion battery pack.
