There is one more concept electric sports car built by Signal Kustom Built which is result of collaborating with the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia/LIPI), supported by Audio Vision to light component, and Alpine for the audio and multimedia devices. The electric sports car concept SV-1 is actually derived from the 1993 Nissan Cefiro, and when seen as a whole from the outside there is nothing left. Only the gearbox was still original from the Cefiro. It looks so futuristic plus open roof makes each person will glance at it.
Not only the look but the car is also very environmentally friendly because it is armed with an electric engine as the rear-wheel drive. For electric motors, batteries, handled by LIPI. Uses electric motors Advance DC series 144 V / 500 A were combined with 45 lithium ion batteries each of which has a strength of 3.8 volts. The electric motor produces power up to 100 hp with torque 146.43 Nm.
The battery charging process can be done using home or electrical charging station like most electric cars, besides it can also use solar power through a converter that is on the car's hood. Finally, the utilization of the heat of braking, known as regenerative braking. In order to fully charged battery charging takes 6-8 hours when electricity use from home. However, when using a electric charging stations just 30 minutes. The battery itself is imported directly from China.
The modification process of this car takes one year, the hardest part was to make the car's drive system and exterior detailing. This car has a fairly light weight, only 750 kg, because the material that used for the car's body is wrought aluminum and carbon fiber in some parts.
The figure of SV-1 was born from the focused blueprint to transform and strengthen the framework sector, using a tubular chassis that designed and customized by Signal Kustom Built as the project initiator. It uses tubular frame for the car's body framework to make it more sturdy. As for the cabin floor, bulkhead divider or partition and center board using a modified iron rig in such a way. Then covered with the double iron sheets in each part.
As one of the goals for the SV-1's concept was to keep weight at a minimum. The team was able to achieve this goal by utilizing COR Cipher wheels. These wheels were chosen for their high-strength forged construction and low overall weight. Each wheel was given a hand brushed finish with glimmering chrome lips for a modern style. The COR Cipher forged wheels were installed in a 20 x 12.5 front and rear setup and fitted with 275/40/20 Yokohama Advan Tires, providing the SV-1 with a wide footprint.
The SV-1 with the open roof would be a challenge itself any time it was used in rainy conditions. Apparently the interior component of SV-1 was waterproof, especially in the audio section. Armed with four sub-woofers, four speakers and one head unit makes SV-1's audio quality like luxurious cars. Not only audio component, Alpine also supplies four monitors that can be used both for the rearview camera, multimedia and navigation.
The SV-1 concept car also equipped with car access system technology (a streaming WiFi based feature) that allows the SV-1 could be operated as easy as access to social networking sites. This means the SV-1 electric cars can be controlled by the owner from anywhere, as long as available the wireless internet.
The light section, front and rear lights of the SV-1 supplied by Autovision. For headlights mounted Bi-Xenon Projector Lens Light, and back light was DRL (Daytime Running Light) type that has been modified with a red candy coating, and there is installed LED type of Microzen Flexstrip 27 at the car's interior.
The SV-1 itself is a successor of the previous modification car named SKEV-1. Interestingly those two cars was uses electric engine. Unfortunately currently the SV-1 is the last electric car made by Signal Kustom Built. Hopefully this is only temporary and not forever. And we will wait for their next cool cars (Jump to Previous-Part). *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARMALL.COM | CORWHEELS]
