The Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the 2012 EICMA Show

Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta have published the latest sketches of Rivale 800, motorcycles with streetfighter and hypermotard style introduced in 2012 EICMA. In that event MV Agusta Rivale 800 crowned as the Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the 2012 EICMA Motorcycle Show. MV Agusta Rivale 800 managed to get 35.5 percent of polling 15,000 visitors 2012 EICMA Show.

The unrivalled visual identity has been extended to every component and every surface of this machine. The MV Agusta Rivale 800 is a result of passion, experience, and inspiration to capture the essence of what is truly representative of MV Agusta historic brand. It further expands upon their range with a new, eclectic interpretation of their modern three-cylinder engine that debuted on the F3 675 and also equips the Brutale 675 and 800 alongside the renewed four-cylinder family F4 and Brutale. The Rivale also gets a triple-port exhaust system.

The Rivale 800 using 798cc 3-cylinder engine that produces 124 hp at 11,600 rpm, the motor is also equipped with Vehicle Integrated Control System package electronics. It contained no ride-by-wire throttle and engine mapping options that can be tailored to road conditions. Traction Control also has become a standard feature of this bike.

On dashboard section has been designed specifically for Rivale 800 featuring a modern "monochrome" fully digital, multi-function display. It is compact to optimise the front fairing proportions yet remains perfectly legible while offering maximum availability of information and parameters.

The frame section of Rivale 800, where in the front section is comprised of a steel trellis combined with a rear of two aluminium alloy plates, that act as a fulcrum for the sculpted single sided rear swingarm and suspension. From the sketch indicates the use of first-class components, for the legs supported by Sachs's suspension in the rear and Marzocchi's upside down in the front. As on every MV Agusta, the braking system uses the best products to achieve outstanding performance. The pair of front 320 mm diameter discs are gripped by twin four-piston Brembo radial callipers. The rear is comprised of a 220 mm diameter disc mated to a two-piston calliper.

According to some sources, assembly and sale of MV Agusta 800 Rivale began in the second quarter of 2013. This bike will be sold starting at U.S. $ 13,945 (or approx Rp. 134 million).
