Handmade Motorcycle Factory

Rapid technological developments encourage motorcycle production is currently not much more use of human labor. To pursue large production, in general motorcycle manufacturer utilizing machine tools.

But once in the middle of rush motorcycle production mechanization was still no motorcycle made by utilizing the power of human hands. Even though using manually manpower (handmade), these factories can produce motorcycles with quality is not lost from factories that use mechanical power. Among the motorcycle factories that still use handmade system is as follows,

MV Agusta
MV Agusta (Meccanica Verghera Agusta) is a well-known automotive manufacturers located in Cascina Costa near Milan, Italy in a limited production motorcycle is established since 1945. Initially the company started as a branch of the Augusta airlines.

Even the motorcycle manufacturer that has the motto "motorcycle art" is made with more touch of the human hand (handmade). In one year's motorcycle factory only produce 1,300 units. This is caused by the factory only has 2 production line and in each month only produce one type of motorcycle. So, if you order a motorcycle while not producing the desired model, then it can not be served.

MV Agusta has produced many famous motorcycle like Brutale 675, F3 675, and F4 RR. and most recently for 2013 models as Brutale 1090, Brutale 1090RR, and Rivale 800 recently awarded "The Prettiest Bike" at 2012 EICMA.

DELAWARE AMERICAN MOTORS
Founded in 2002 by owner Mark S. Klein, Delaware American Motors (DAM) reintroduces vehicle manufacturing in Paterson, NJ. DAM is a privately held licensed worldwide vehicle manufacturer and motor sports company located in Paterson, New Jersey. DAM products include an exclusive line of premium motorcycles, motorcycle components, and accessories.

"We want to change the way that people think about custom motorcycles. There is an elite group of motorcyclists devoted to the style, attitude, and durability of American motorcycles who desire exclusivity and craftsmanship inherent to hand built customs."

The famous American company plans to make 13 rows of motorcycles with philosophy as follows, what is known is that the first US flag had thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies that rebelled against British ruler and became the first thirteen states of the United States of America. As the United States of America was formed with the original thirteen colonies, there will be 13 original motorcycles built to symbolize each colony. Pictured above are two models that represent the parts of America that Dam Tech Twin American 13c Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Each motorcycle is handmade and includes special features; such as a highly developed DAM APEX chassis, superior suspension and brake components, a 127 cubic inch displacement R&R 2 CAM Billet Engine with 140 horsepower, built for the genuine performance enthusiast. With a five-quart oil capacity built into the frame, a hand made NASCAR inspired exhaust, and a modernized Girder front end utilizing a shock developed by Penske Racing; the finished motorcycle is clearly focused on delivering the individual a premium, high performance, exciting, and exclusive motorcycle showcasing American design.

JANUS MOTORCYCLE
Other handmade motorcycle makers are Janus Motorcycle an American manufacturer of hand-made, small-displacement bikes that harken back to iconic eras of motorcycling history. 

Manufacturers who make Halcyon 50 motorcycles with fully human hands. This bike has the look of a classic vehicle built around the 1920's. Halcyon 50 is a new bike made by young couples Devin Biek and Richard Worsham from the city of Goshen, Indiana, United States.

Given the shades chrome gas tank with saddle and a pair of leather bags behind Halcyon 50 carries a 2-stroke 50cc Derbi Senda engine. This little engine produces power 10 hp is suitable for those who need a vehicle for a short distance that had been relying on a scooter. The plan, Janus will market Halcyon 50 in early 2013.

URAL
Making motorcycles by hand also made by Ural, a Russian manufacturer. Its uniqueness, among other uses Ural motorcycles with engine capacity of 749 cc, then fitted with sidecar and worked by handmade.

One of the variants, Ural Gear Up has a look like war vehicles. Essentially army green color, accented with distinctive camouflage army. Suggests an ancient and war vehicles appear on top of the spare tire in the sidecar and reserve fuel tank in addition to the motorcycle. The Ural Retro more classic style in black were white line around the body. Its appearance is clean and elegant, unlike Gear Up that looks more ferocious.

It can be said of today's technology they adopt is to use two-cylinder opposed engine, with a total capacity of 749 cc and combined with 4-speed transmission has a maximum power of 40 PS at 5,600 rpm. These motors are not made for speeding. Its character is the vehicle to relax and enjoy the touring ride.
