Concentration Level Increases by Walking or Cycling

Children do not need to feel embarrassed if school just walking or cycling. Therefore, it is contained behind habit tremendous benefits.

The study from universities in Copenhagen and Aarhus found that children who were driven to school or used public transport scored less in tests that measured concentration than children who walked or cycled to school.

These results surprised researchers because of their original hypothesis was focused on the effect of breakfast and lunch to the students ability to concentrate. "Students who walk or bike to get to school is reflected in better concentration levels about four hours later," said researcher Niels Egelund, as reported by the Daily Mail on Monday, November 26, 2012.

The result, according to Niels, shows that breakfast and lunch have an influence on the concentration, but less than the effect of physical activity such as walking or cycling.

In their study, the researchers conducted a survey of the 19.527 students aged 5 to 19 years. Participants were asked about their exercise habits and then conducted tests measuring basic concentration.

A recent study from Australia has found that active kids are more likely to be lean and healthy when compared to kids who aren't active. Researchers in this study had said that it is probably better to encourage kids to exercise more than to restrict their diets.
