Electric Motorcycle With the Furthest Distance Cruising

Most electric motors are known to have low power and do not have much cruising due to lack of facilities provided. Unlike the manufacturer Zero Motorcycles has found a perfect solution of the problems often experienced by electric motors in general. The draft finally applied to one of their newest products is the 2013 Zero S.

The streetfighter style motorcycles embracing it even increased the power up to 99% of the electric motor in general. With a stronger, stiffer swingarm outback and adjusted geometry up front, it now also comes with a 2-up seat and an extra set of footpegs for passengers. And also equipped with Nissin brakes for improved stopping performance.

2013 Zero S comes in either an 8.5- or 11.4-kWh configuration with the bigger battery said to be good for 137 miles or more than 220 kilometers when driving in the city. This makes the electric motor bikes cruising the farthest, because the 2013 Zero S using a compact version of the Z-Force motor designed to maximize air cooling and linked to a new higher voltage Z-Force power pack. Offering 54 horsepower and 68 lb-ft of torque, the motor is now a stressed member of that frame for increased rigidity and better handling, and will pull all the way up to 95 mph or 183 kph.

This motors also charge up those bigger batteries faster. If using a 110 or 220 outlet, the fill-up rate is 25 percent quicker than previously, allowing the 11.4-kWh configuration to go from empty to full in 7.9 hours. Add the optional CHAdeMO accessory though, and you can get to 95 percent in an hour while plugged into a DC fast charger.

2013 Zero S have smart phone integration. Along with an accessory to mount your device to the bike, Zero has produced an app for iPhones and Androids that allows you to not only track information from the motorcycle via Bluetooth, but alter performance characteristics as well. "With a cruising range to 137 miles, a maximum speed of 183 kph and CHAdeMO, 2013 Zero S is really remarkable," said Richard Walker, CEO of Zero Motorcycles.

This bike will go on sale in North America in January 2013 and in Europe the next following month. 2013 Zero S will be sold starting at U.S. $ 13,995 (or equivalent Rp. 134 million). However, for now the Zero Motorcycles has opened pre-orders for U.S. consumers.*** [AUTOBLOGGREEN | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES]
