Creative People Tend to Deceive

The lure of money is often dazzling. A study found, the money becomes the cause of creative people tend to commit fraud than those who do not think creatively.

In the latest study, researchers measured the intelligence and creativity of 97 local university students in the southeastern United States. They were asked to complete a series of psychological tests.

The participants then took part in five experiments to determine whether creative people tend to cheat when in a state they can justify the behavior is not honest.

In one experiment, participants saw pictures with points on the two sides of the diagonal line, they must figure out which side has a lot of points, but half of the 200 experiments is nearly impossible, if one side of the image contains more points than the other.

Informed participants will receive a 10-fold for every decision-making "right side" as a decision "left side" or 5 cents versus 0.5 cents. The highest scorers on psychological tests of creativity is more likely to give an answer to pay more, though hesitant.

In another experiment, participants completed a general knowledge quiz and transferring answers on the test sheet "item-response", which is known as sheet "bubble." Respondents will be paid more for the correct answer. They are persuaded that, when transferring the answer, they can do anything without being noticed. But all the answer sheets can identify unique behaviors that reveal fraud.
Again, the more creative individuals likely to cheat than their less creative. Creativity does help individuals solve a difficult task.

"But the spark of creativity can cause individuals to take an unethical path when searching for solutions to problems and tasks," said Francesca Gino, researchers from Harvard University. But researchers found no relationship between intelligence and dishonesty. *** [LIVESCIENCE | KORAN TEMPO 3721]Enhanced by Zemanta
