After the success of the slogan Norton Everywhere, protecting consumers on the go with a variety of platforms and digital devices, at the end of last week (25 September 2011) introduced the Symantec Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus 2012 in Jakarta.

These security solutions include mobile technology and cloud computing services, including some new features in version 2012. In addition, Symantec will launch its beta service in the foreseeable future to support mobile devices and tablets, both for the Android platform and the IOS.

"In recent years, we witnessed the explosion of devices, platforms, and aplikasl. However, these changes bring 'new digital danger' and a greater need for consumers to be protected from cyber crime" said Janice Chaffin, Group President, Symantec Consumer Business Unit .

In the new study, Norton revealed every day there are 1 million people become victims of cyber crime. That is, every second there are 14 people become victims of these crimes all over the world.

Meanwhile, losses incurred due to cyber crime globally reached U.S. $ 388 billion per year. That figure is far greater than all the illegal trafficking of narcotics, such as marijuana and cocaine, which when combined is only worth U.S. $ 288 billion per year. *** [FIRMAN | KORAN TEMPO 3658]
