Laughing with close friends proved they can release brain chemicals that make people feel better, relieve pain as well as the latest research results of British researchers indicates that laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the same as if you are exercising or doing other activities.
"Just a little research done to examine why we laugh and what role it plays in society," said Robin Dunbar, a study researcher from the University of Oxford, England. "We suspect the bonding effect of the boost endorphins which may explain why laughter plays an important role in our social life."
The experiment was conducted Dunbar and his team to prove the idea that our laughter may activate the brain endorphins. The idea has long been debated but not yet proven.
Pain-relieving chemicals that are formed in response to a sporting activity, joy, pain, spicy food, love, and sexual orgasm.
In addition to providing encouragement, endorphins increase our ability to ignore pain. To know the pain threshold, the researchers conducted tests angler laughter and pain levels on a number of volunteers.

The participants were divided into groups and individuals, because laughter is considered as a social activity, and presented with some comedy. Tests showed that the ability of participants to bear the pain surged after laughing. Watching a comedy film together in one group raise the threshold to pain by 10 percent. Participants who tested alone showed only a slight increase.
"When the laugh, the threshold of pain increased significantly," he said.
The researchers believe that laughter makes people interesting series of breath and cause fatigue in abdominal muscles, which eventually trigger the release of endorphins. Generally triggered the release of endorphins oieh physical activity, like exercising. *** [LIVESCIENCE | KORAN TEMPO 3648]
