Raising Children Make Fathers More Loyal

Being a father was able to transform men into more loyal. A study revealed that, after having a child, a male virility hormone levels go down.

Experimental researchers from the United States was conducted based on a sample of 600 men who were in the age of 20 years. One third of these men have children of their spouses.

In early experiments, researchers found the samples had higher levels of testosterone (male sex hormone) is high. When men get their first child, these hormone levels decline.

In five years, men without children decreased by 14 percent of natural testosterone. However, for men who have a child, occurred on average 34 percent decline in sex hormones.

The largest decrease occurred in the father raise the child-focused. Similarly, in men who have children aged under 1 year would have declined by 50 percent.

According to lead researcher from Northwestern University, Christopher Kuzawa, triggers the male hormone testosterone are competing for the couple. "Raising children is an effort that requires a high sacrifice. This study shows a changing biological father to finish the job," said Kuzawa.

Previous studies mention the men who marry and have children have lower testosterone levels than single men. However, over half a decade, this is a finding that directly shows the presence of a child as a factor determining the decline of testosterone.

According to anthropologist from Northwestern University, Lee Gettler, it is reasonable if a father's testosterone levels are very low for many years. "This will continue to lower levels during the father was really involved in raising children," he said. *** [DAILYMAIL | ANTON WILLIAM | KORAN TEMPO 3647]
