Global Warming, Making the Earth Getting Fatter

Planet earth that we live in turns increasingly obese, it is much more rounded, in recent decades. Climate change triggered the change. Past research has shown the Earth not perfectly spherical, but oblate at both poles. This form is created because the Earth rotates over billions of years so inflated the surface of the earth at the equator. Radius of the planet at the equator is longer than 20.9 miles in the polar regions. Radius difference is causing the top of a mountain in Ecuador as the farthest point from the center of the earth, not the summit of Mount Everest. These changes occurred during the past several decades. Ice sheets that covered the northern hemisphere during the last 22 thousand years, slowly began to melt. Liquefaction reduces the amount of mass that has accumulated on the earth's crust. As a result, the crust in northern soared toward the outside, which makes the earth more bloat. "Since mid 1990, the Earth is more rounded than before," says aerospace engineer from the University of Colorado, Steve Nerem. The melting of glaciers in Greenland and Aritartika major cause of fattening this earth. The water that melts from the area flows to the equator. Each year these two regions lost 382 billion tons of ice. Reduction of the mass that must be sustained to make the crust around the north pole to swell 0.71 centimeter per decade.*** [ANTON WILLIAM | KORAN TEMPO 3610]
